Eyecare Center of Leesburg

Update: They are listed as temporarily closed but for some reason I am still getting messages from them to schedule an appointment. Do not schedule anything here they are not open. Previous experience in early 2025: They have been struggling for about a year now. I went in for a contact lense appointment in early 2025. Once I got there they told me they cannot purchase lenses for me and can just give me the prescription. I get back to the appointment and the doctor tells me they already have a up to date contact prescription for me and I don’t need the appointment. I had asked the receptionist weeks ago if they had one for me and she said no, that was the only reason I made the appointment and drove 40 minutes into Leesburg. They seem completely unorganized. This was disappointing because

Very disappointed. It appears as if the office closed without notification and so far, my numerous attempts to retrieve my son's records, has been ignored. We have been patients in this office for years and years. I am very upset that this is how they decided to handle the closing of their office. My son is on special RX drops for his eyes and we have no records to take to another doctor. Zero stars if I was able.

Please listen to the previous one-star reviewers. We wish we had. The practice has been responding to less than favorable reviews with the same response for the past two months. Nothing has been done to address the problem. Summarizing our experience since June 2025: - no response to our pre-surgery calls with questions about surgery prep - confirmed surgery dates were rescheduled twice - on arrival for a surgery follow-up appointment in Sterling we were told the appointment was scheduled in Manassas when all previous appointments had been in Sterling. The staff told us we were in the wrong place instead of admitting a mistake was made. - on arrival for another scheduled appointment in Leesburg we were told to come back three days later because we were there on the wrong date. I've always gone to Costco of course for my glasses/contacts prescriptions until yesterday. I didn't know what I didn't know until meeting with Dr. Leigh. She took her time and explained what was going on with my old eyes, told me what I was doing wrong and what I should be doing and gave me options. She did a full exam including retinal scan for the same price as going to Costco for a basic quick prescription exam. Oh, and Dr. MacGrew has been great too keeping my eyes healthy.

Highly recommend the Eye care Center of Leesburg. Go every year and have a thorough eye exam. Office is clean and cheerful. Everyone is friendly and aproachable. Dr. Leigh explained everything clearly. There was little to no wait time. Thanks so Tanya for explaining the reasonable out of pocket costs to me.
