Being very nervous about eye surgery, I almost cancelled twice. The staff were all patient and helpful when I had questions and/or concerns. Dr. Lu was encouraging and took the time to explain his procedure. As busy as they were, they never rushed me or made me feel like I didn't matter.

Had lasik procedure done here by Dr. Lu and he and the entire staff were amazing! I was so nervous before but during the whole procedure they made me feel calm and educated me during the process so that I knew what to expect. Dr. Lu took very good care of me post op as well with all the follow up visits. I can now see clearly for the first time in my life without contacts or glasses! Best decision I have ever made for my health!

I believe they were very thorough. I had seen them before for what they thought was glaucoma and they tested my pressure various times of the day. This was a follow up a few years later and I’m glad they’re checking up on me.

Love Dr. Joel Halpern! I've known him down through the years. When their offices closed, I specifically tried to find any Halpern. He always treated me with respect, was personable, listened to my complaints, never just rushed me through a visit and assured me that the problem would be resolved. Great doctor and bedside manner as it is called, is "5 stars" WORTHY!!!

I am so grateful for Dr Lu and his staff from the Eye Specialists of Delaware for the outstanding care I received with my DSEK/DMEK surgery. The evening of my surgery I developed a painful reaction. Dr Lu drove all the way back to the office to help with my concerns. He was very kind. I would recommend them for any specialized eye care.
