My mother was a patient at Parkview…Excelcare for 5 years. Whatever name they are assigning to this facility, the care is the same….below Sub level. During the 5 years that my mother was there, this nursing home was sold 3 times to Venture Capital groups….. My mother was there when the new owners took over. I saw no positive changes. The diapers are paper thin, the food is simply not edible. Staffing is bare bone. While my mom was there, I met many wonderful aids and some nurses, that have been working there for a long time. They are so institutionalized that they look the other way to what goes on. It’s a system that you can do little about, even when you have evidence. My mother fell out of bed 4 times. One time onto her head, but they did not send her to the hospital and th

My brother had been in 5 nursing homes that were deplorable. The cleanliness was horrible, not being changed and uncaring staff. I had resigned myself that there wasn't a good nursing home available in Delaware. With a little luck he was transferred to Wilmington Excel Care, what a difference. His nurse Peter is great, he understands him and takes excellent care of him and keeps me informed of his care. I have never once in the 6 months he has been there felt he was uncared for. They have been accommodating in every way. His room is cleaned everyday and he is up in a chair in a social room around staff and others to have social time and eat with others. They call no matter day or night to give me important updates on his health. I am so glad how well he is doing there. Thank you to all the

This is a prison. They made a big deal when I wanted to go outside. Who wants to be trapped in a stained nursing home? That nothing to do. I'll take my chances. I cross at the park or somewhere with better food If you have to live in here long term, you're in hell, these people can try to say whatever they want. Luckily I knew my rights and they had no choice but to step aside and let me get some fresh air. Young inmature caregivers. Had, to remind a few of them that my kids are older than them. Luckily, I was only in there for like a week. I will never ever ever go to any nursing homes in Delaware. All of them suck.

My father has been a resident in the Lancaster Wing (memory care unit) at ExcelCare at Wilmington (formerly Parkview) for almost two years. Dr. Ying Zhu leads the medical team in their work of providing high-quality care to the residents and patients, and Juanita Brunson, the administrator, ensures the facility runs smoothly and does so with grace and good humor. From the moment you call ExcelCare and speak with Mikaela, Adrieanna, Quasimah, Miguel, or Sierra, you receive a warm welcome. Desaray Morgan in Admissions makes you feel valued and confident that your loved one will receive the medical care and personal attention that they need to thrive and feel safe. The care providers and staff offer my father top-notch medical care and love, making him feel that ExcelCare at Wilmington is

Our Mother spent about 3 weeks there in March 2025. It is actually a very good facility. The professionals (doctors, nurses and PT staff) were excellent. The support staff, for the most part, were pretty good. Food could use a bit of an upgrade but was serviceable. Would definitely refer others to ExcelCare.
