Excelcare at Wayne

The pics posted on their website FAKE!!!I I have pics and videos.. As soon as you walk through the doors the smell of urine hits you. The staff are horrible, I mean ALL.. Their nurses stand in the hallways laughing and joking instead of doing their jobs, med times are changed daily, cold food, dirty laundry laying around my list can go on. The CNA's ignore the call bells, hide in unoccupied rooms. Physical therapy 10 mins. No compassion, no patients, NOTHING. I am a CNA, so I know. The State needs to shut them down. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS THERE.

Yesterday when I was driving on hamburg tpk I saw an elderly woman dress in a gown and slippers walking on the sidewalk next to the highway. I thought it was strange and immediately thought something was off. It wasn’t until I saw her step into traffic and almost got hit by a car (that kept going) is when I knew I needed to do something. I was at a traffic light and needed to pull over to help. Also another driver pull over with me and the both of us proceeded to assist this poor woman. We soon realize this woman had left the nursing home which was Excelcare she had an alarm bracelet but I guess it wasn’t working because she was roaming the streets and was almost hit by a car. The other driver called 911 and as we waited we distracted and stayed with the woman til the police arrived

Thanks to Liz and RJ for inviting Visiting Angels to bring our Hydration and Water Quiz Bowl to the residents and staff. Everyone was so welcoming. It is so nice to see the warmth in the relationships between residents and staff. We appreciate the pictures and attention and look forward to coming back.

I come here 3 day ago but really not like some many thing they do , about the food, about problems inside like temperature of the room now I’m use my coat since yesterday I’m reporter no one come to fix even move me to other room or solution Realy look like don’t care , is not professional , I don’t want talk about the foot , hope I live soon

The staff here do a great job. They are always working with us. You can pay people to do their job, but you cannot pay people to care; the staff here do care. I find everyone here to be respectful and helpful. The staff at the desk are always respectful, and professional. I really lucked out in finding one of the better nursing homes.
