Evans Memorial Hospital

Upon my request to re-visit Evans Memorial, Lacey Odum went beyond what would have been considered thorough in performing my most recent MRI, and also, upon my request, guiding me through what may be next. She had a full schedule and had no choice but to fit me in the day she received my doctor’s orders as they were marked, “STAT,” yet once she came to the hematoma, took extra time to get as much information as she could, staying within my doctor’s orders. She demonstrated genuine concern in communicating and helping me before and after, and went the extra mile to point me in the right direction. Everyone that helped that day (Stephanie and Barbara at the front desk, Shelby in ultra-sound) had a calm, sincerely concerned, yet joyful energy about them, which clearly reached beyond thems

I brought a friend to the hospital for a routine colonoscopy. I was very impressed with this small hospital. The staff was very friendly. The hospital was brightly lit clean and updated as far as I could tell. Spacious comfortable room. Again I can't say enough about the great staff!

I've been to a few hospitals throughout the country because of being a traveler and....this really is a nice one.... it's small yes.... you might be there longer than average but....they literally have 1 doctor on at night... probably the same throughout the day as well...who knows... considering my visit was at night....but they do a good job....they put time in for each person they see and evaluate...they try and do the right thing for people in regards to what they need to help them get better....and no one could ask for anything better.... quite honestly....they will save your life...and keep you alive after that ....if they communicated the small staff they have more often....I think people would hopefully be more patient....more understanding as well possibly....and considering that

Mother was brought here from a neighboring nursing home in terrible shape. Hospice care was discussed. The whole staff were excellent and Dr. Slaughter and staff were kind, attentive and compassionate. Nurse Nichelle was especially kind and attentive to my mother. Rooms and hospital areas always clean. A great hospital in my opinion. The whole family is very grateful.

I was running a fever sick as heck in a lot of pain and I couldn’t even get into the back…kept calling people who came in after me I sat for hours to find out I was seriously in need of fluids and had something contagious….if I was able and always if can never come here for help ever… Again another instance im here with my husband and im denied access claiming not enough room and no chair...yet my husband confirmed via phone there was a chair. ....really need another hospital In this town they aren't on there game.
