I had such an exceptional experience with Dr Nimrata Shah. Every provider I interacted with was incredibly caring, thorough, and compassionate. Dr Shah took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all my questions, and make sure I felt supported every step of the way. Dr Shah's knowledge and attention to detail gave me so much confidence, and the way they treated not just me but my family (especially my two year old) with kindness. Very disappointing and frustrating experience with Essential women’s health. I was told to schedule a scan for possible fibroids and scheduled at the Edison office and then booked a separate follow-up at the Piscataway office just to review the results. I paid for the visit, waited over an hour, and was then told the doctor couldn’t locate my scan report. She said she would call me with the results — but never did. Now I’m being asked to pay the remaining balance after insurance (which I’m willing to do), yet I’m still not being given my results. Instead, I’m told to schedule yet another appointment just to discuss them. Multiple visits, copays, long wait times — and still no results. This feels more like repeated billing than patient care. I had my first visit at this office today. Waiting was long but that’s ok. While leaving from the office the front desk was very rude when giving my future appointments. I think she needs to ask patient about our availability for next visits. She tried to impose her availability rudely! Polite staff is important.

My recent appointment here went very well. The team was professional, and the doctor provided clear explanations and recommendations. I felt respected and never rushed. Definitely a trustworthy place for women’s healthcare.

Horrible wait, communication and care. The doctor has taken forever to see the patient then rushed through any concerns without much care. Wait times were from 50 min to 2+ hours. There was no communication about how they no longer offer video call appts through insurance so you will have to pay.
