I took the Pelvic Rehab Manual Assessment and Treatment Techniques class by Essential Pelvic Health (Laura Rowan) last month. I had prepped with a bunch of self study prior to the class and watching the video's provided to us- which was very helpful. I love how Laura presents information. Her style is calm, creative and easy to understand. The class format was great for a first hands on experience, but I definitely wanted a whole additional day to practice more. Leave the class with phone numbers to meet up and practice again if you can. If you take the class with OT Pioneers, it qualifies at H+W PF1-which is amazing. I highly recommend this class for anyone interested in treating the PF.

I saw no less than five doctors over seven years to discover the cause and treatment of pelvic pain that Laura quickly diagnosed. I visited her weekly over a three month period and learned exactly what was going on. She showed me exercises and therapies to address my specific issue and soon I was pain free. Laura's dedication to the complexity and wonder of this overlooked and rarely spoken of area of female (and male) anatomy makes her a gifted practitioner. I have no pain and if I feel even the hint of discomfort, usually triggered by my own posture or stress level, she has taught me the way to address it myself therapeutically without the use of drugs.
