I cannot say enough great things about Michael. I booked a last minute massage on a Saturday morning. Shortly after, Michael called to let me know that the person I booked wasn’t available but he would gladly do my massage if I still wanted to come in. I was so glad he called because I wanted to book with him all along! I was greeted warmly by Michael and his lovely wife and welcomed inside. He went over my history with me and asked about what areas were causing me pain. I explained that I work on a computer all day at a medical office and have horrible posture. For the past several months I have been experiencing awful pain and a burning sensation in my upper back, neck and shoulders. He told me about his own history with severe pain. I started going to Essential Balanced Bodywork about 3 years ago when I was experiencing a lot of pain in my neck. Michael helped me using his Roels Method. When I heard they were offering a monthly membership plan I immediately enrolled. I consider my monthly massages an important part of my good health. I have been seeing Emily now for about 2 years. At the beginning of each visit I let her know if I am experiencing any tightness or pain that I need work on. If I am feeling great then I receive a relaxing massage. Recently I have also asked to have Sound Therapy where Emily uses tuning forks along with the massage. I highly recommend Essential Balanced Bodyworks to anyone experiencing pain and wants relief. The staff are all fantastic people.

Locating a quality massage therapist is really hard (and expensive). Michael and Emily both understand the anatomy of your body...and they use this knowledge to give a massage that is relevant and healing to my needs. I don't look for a 'relaxation' massage. I want a massage that leaves my body feeling renewed. I initially went to see Michael for the Roels Method. I had excruciating pain in my right knee due to osteoarthritis. After just two sessions Michael was able to relieve much of the pain. I especially appreciated how much he involved me and educated me during the process. I felt just as good after an hour with him as when I receive a cortisone injection! The rooms are comfortable, relaxing and restorative to mind and spirit.
