Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Desert Canyon

The facility is staffed with well trained nurses and therapists who exhibit genuine care and compassion. They helped me a lot and are the backbone of rehab. The gym facility is full of a wide variety of methods for regaining flexibility and strength. There are a variety of food alternatives for your taste. A rehab doctor is available to address changes, questions and evaluations. The rooms are generous and the bathroom spacious. They plan your rehab day and encourage and supervise your efforts. I found this to be an ideal rehab facility.

I definitely recommend this rehab facility for your loved ones who need intensive therapy! As a patient here who stayed here for two weeks, I would say this facility is by far the friendliest and home like environment. Everyone has their own room, but you share a bathroom with a patient next door. The rooms are actually pretty big with a cabinet, tv, a pull out bed for guests, and a sink! Besides that, the staff here are over the top the best!! I loved interacting with my favorite nurses, (Rafael, Candy, Athena, and Cecilia) physical therapist (John Mendoza), occupational therapists (David and Samantha), and speech therapist (Gina Stevens)!!! My nurses were all very thoughtful to educate me (I’m a nursing student) and also gave me helpful advice! John is absolutely AMAZING! He taught me s

What an amazing group of people. I had a car accident back in 2013 and was just thinking about it the other day. I highly recommend this facility above all the others. Thanks again for my speedy recovery and all the happy smiles. I remember one of the ladies let my dad borrow her bike while he stayed.

I was admitted to Desert Canyon, after an 8 day stay in hospital. My muscles had atrophied and I couldn't walk. I had lost 11 pounds! With the decayed help of their Physical therapy team I was soon walking with a walker. The Doctors and nurses were out standing in controlling my pain and giving encouragement! Jazmine PA was so kind, funny and attentive and always ask if I needed anything. All the nurses were very attentive as well and very busy! The Physical therapy team were also outstanding. I worked mostly with Brendon PT? And Brent OT. I got stronger with their help, encouragement and my determination. You have to do the work!

Great place! I had a big, quiet room with a large window with a room darkening shade. But what made my stay there so positive were the people. The OT/PT team, nursing team, doctors, case management, kitchen staff and janitors were all helpful and very nice. The food was good, and I was able to write in suggested substitutions. I couldn't have found a better rehab hospital!
