I was admitted to Emory Midtown Hospital on Sunday night, and given the circumstances, I had a truly welcoming experience. I would especially like to give a big shout-out to the first third-shift nurses: Trish, the nurse tech whose name starts with an “A” and who is currently in school to become a pediatrician, and Kat, whose phlebotomy skills were excellent. These nurses were absolutely incredible. If you are ever admitted, I sincerely hope you are fortunate enough to have them as part of your care team.
My mom was here recently and unfortunately passed under hospice care. She was in the ICU at first and I want it to be known that nurse Cameron was absolutely amazing. He took such good care of my mother while he had her before she was transferred to hospice. While my mother was IN hospice, she had some amazing nurses and doctors as well. Nurses Kelsey, Amanda, Nick, Veronica, and Dr. Mitchell were an absolute dream team for my family while we were going through this. We were in and out of the hospital for 8 days and between just about every nurse, we just had such great experiences and I’m so grateful my mother was in such great care before her passing. We did have a bit of an attitude problem from one nurse on hospice, Carmen, but it was never anything worth fussing over I just don’t unde
I want to share the positive experience I had at Emory Hospital Midtown over the weekend. The staff was amazing—professional, courteous, and truly comforting from start to finish. I was diagnosed with diabetes, and they made sure I understood that it wasn’t a life-ending diagnosis. They kept me calm, informed, and reassured throughout the entire process. The hospital was spotless, and parking was easy with plenty of available spaces. Special shoutout to Jaelin, Amanda, Jennifer, and Glenn for their exceptional care. Unit 71 is absolutely top-notch—professional, compassionate, and one of the best teams I’ve ever encountered. Under the circumstances, this was honestly one of the best emergency room visits I’ve had in my entire life. They truly did an incredible job.
Dear Jackie and the Incredible Emergency Room Team at Emory University Midtown, I want to sincerely thank you all for the excellent care you provided to my mom while she was in the Emergency Room. Walking into the ER is never easy, especially when it’s someone you love, but your compassion and professionalism brought comfort to our entire family. Jackie, your kindness and attentiveness truly stood out. You treated my mom with such patience, dignity, and respect, and that meant more to us than words can express. The entire Emergency Room staff worked with care, urgency, and heart, and we are so grateful. Thank you for the long hours you put in and for the dedication you show every single day. Because of you, my mom felt cared for, and our family felt reassured during a very stressful tim
This was my third and last visit to the ER at Emory Midtown. Each visit got progressively worse. First, the ER is extremely small and understaffed. Most of the nurses were very nice and professional and tried to make the most out of a horrible work environment for themselves and the patients. . After checking in with extreme stomach pains, I was finally called to be interviewed by the doctor, almost three hours after arriving. I was then placed back in the waiting area to wait for a nurse to do bloodwork and an EKG. Two hours later, they called me back to have bloodwork drawn. After the bloodwork, I was given meds and they placed me in a line of patients up against a wall outside of the examining rooms, waiting on a CT scan. They never came to get me for the EKG. After another hour, I wa
