Emory Rehabilitation Hospital

My Mother-N-Love had a stroke! She was accepted in to this acute rehab. She was in the rehabilitation center for 21 days. Chrissy was the social worker and she definitely went above and beyond for our family unique situation. Parking was good they have valet available but, it’s not available during visitation hours (4pm to 8pm) which is great because you can park anywhere on the property fro no charge. From the moment we entered the door we were treated with kindness. We have to sign in and out every visit. You also have to put your name on a temporary badge (this is a horrible badge because it always comes off) and fill Bally you out on your badge. Typically one person goes up but for our situation because I am the caregiver for my Mother-N-Love and my daddy we had to get special approv

I went to rehab and didn’t have much hope that I would heal and be able to live on my own. I was scared. But from the time I got there and was greeted warmly, my fears went away!. OT and PT were amazing! They really listened to me and designed a plan to meet my needs. The nurses and techs were met my medical needs and the physicians listened and met them too. Wound care was my big problem and the special wound care nurses were incredible. Met my needs and exceeded expectations. Yeah the food might not be the greatest, but it had lots of selections. I would recommend this rehab in a heartbeat!

I definitely would not recommend this facility. Not only is the building outdated and poorly run the staff members need further professional development. They are not equipped to provide complete and thorough rehabilitation services to seniors who may require extra care and attention. Please do not confuse Emory Hospital with this facility even though they fall under the same umbrella. The staff don’t appear to be friendly and take a very long time to come to the room even when you press the button. Patient needs are not a priority. The rehabilitation building or section needs an upgrade .

I had a very good experience while visiting my grandfather who is a patient here! Staff was very helpful and attentive. I really appreciated how everyone was so positive and friendly. The secretary Dion went above and beyond to make sure that my grandfather had everything he needed and helped to make sure that he received exceptional care while he was there.

Emory Rehab hospital was fantastic. Gabe (PT) and Kim(OT) (main therapits I had) were fabulous therapists as were the ones I had on the weekends. The staff at Emory were so attentive and concerned. They were so pleasant which is what one needs when rehabbing. I had come from 2.5 weeks at Grady Hospital and just in a week and a half at Emory I was ready to go home. I can not give this plae enough stars!! The service and therapy all around were outstanding. I actually miss them. The food was even good too!! Those chocolate chip cookies were so yummy!! Definitely 5 stars*****
