Emergency Room

Hello all. I just wanted to leave a quick review of the ER in North Adams ma. I went in on Tuesday with chest, back and occasional rotational pain in my arm. I would like to add, I suffer from MAJOR anxiety. The intake was fast and efficient. They got me in immediately. While they were tending to me I went into a full blown panic attack. So they were then dealing with chest pains and me having a panick attack on top. The team that helped me was sooo amazing and helpful and calming. They were not judging me and telling me to relax. They were the most patient people. I wish I got every last 1 of their names. I am a very hard stick so Iv is difficult. The woman who they said is like a wizard, she got my iv after 2 tries. UNHEARD OF FOR ME.They worked through that and got the blood they neede

Wait over an hour and half in excruciating pain with broken arm in waiting room at 330 am. No idea how to set priorities. Treated others with minor issues prior to a real emergency. Asked for pain medication was treated like a drug addict. It’s a broken arm, seriously?! Such a disappointment. Meanwhile nurses are being paid to gossip in a corner …

RN Christine (Chris) R. has ZERO !!!! bed side manner!!! Lacks empathy!!! Lacks compassion!!!!!. If you ask any questions she will completely disregard your questions and uses “policy” as a way to avoid your questions and be as least helpful as she can... i am afraid of needles and the first experience with Cherie, Dan, Jen, Theresa and Heidi was an absolute delight !!!!! They allowed my partner to accompany me. The second time around Chris kept claiming “policy” and would not let me partner accompany me ... even though in my last TWO visits had him accompany and supporting me .....

They did not even deserve one star tonight. Usually the ER is an awesome place when you need help. Tonight however we left without seeing a doctor. Bmc needs to have a way to treat a patient who can not ware a mask. The patient could call in and talk to the doctor or nurse wait in there car and not go into the building. They NEED to have a way to access a doctor when someone cant ware a mask.

Have always been treated with dignity and care. Unless its a trauma situation I always go to this ER. They ate fast and thorough.
