Emergency Room | Kaiser Permanente Zion Medical Center

This was by far the best emergency room experience I’ve ever had. All the staff made me feel heard and welcome, from intake to the nurse and doctor and social worker. The nurse and doctor took the time to answer my questions and treated me with so much kindness and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. The doctor was very confident and smart which helped my anxieties. The social worker listened patiently and helped me set up a follow up appointment. Everyone was nonjudgmental and caring. I’m so grateful to all of them for helping me feel better.

Gaslit by physician. Nurse tried to get signed off for a pic line I didn't need. Got a pregnancy test even tho I'm in my 50's with an IUD. LAB contaminated my blood cultures they decided. But the best was ALL the personal information the Dr's and nurses shared about each other and even other patients. The obvious HIPPA violations. the good laughs and the disparagement of other people including co-workers, all of us actual patients in the emergency room were forced to listen to, was a nice touch. The compassion fatigue here is palpable. This visit has changed the way I think about emergency rooms. I did not enjoy my stay and will not be returning to Kaiser Zion Emergency Room, which I now consider trash.

The security guard checking bags on 8/5 at 12:40am was so rude and mean to me about having to check my duffel bag that I started crying. It was just a really terrible thing to do to someone trying to visit her mom who just arrived in an ambulance.

I want to express my deep gratitude to the crisis psychologist that came to my room this morning. It was the best conversation in my life, which helped me a lot. And overall my visit was very comfortable. The best and most caring staff! Thank you guys.

My Christmas seemed kind of boring, so I thought I would kick my couch, just for fun. Yay, I broke my toe!! Now normally no one would go to the ER for a broken toe, especially on Christmas, however, my toe was at a 90 degree angle (kind of). There goes my foot pic career. It looked fake and funny. I went to this emergency room and the staff was absolutely incredible. Everyone I encountered was awesome. From the security out front, to the nurse that helped me inside, all the other nurses, xray tech and doctor. Everyone had a positive attitude, not to mention jokes for days. I mean, my toe looked really jacked up. It was a sight to see! Aside from all that, I was in and out of there in just over an hour!! Which was awesome in itself.
