Emergency Room at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Macungie

I had to visit the ER in Macungie yesterday and I cannot say enough good about the wonderful care that I received! From the front check in desk to the technicians, the nurse and the PA (Christopher Nguyen)....they were all AMAZING! They were efficient, professional, VERY CARING, knowledgeable, thorough and kind. I was so impressed! I've never had an ER visit be so positive! Never! The facility itself is so nice n modern and very clean! Very convenient n safe parking. The staff all worked so well together to give me great care! I am truly thankful to each one of them! May God bless you all for what you do and for how professionally and compassionately you do it! Truly, thank you!

I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the treatment my daughter and I received at your emergency room facility on April 18, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m. Upon arrival, the facility was visibly empty, yet we were met with immediate dismissal rather than compassion or professionalism. I was concerned that my daughter’s iron levels were dangerously low, and while I understand that not all ERs perform transfusions, the issue lies in the fact that the staff made no attempt to formally sign us in or evaluate her condition. This, in my view, constitutes a denial of care. What I found particularly disturbing was the receptionist’s dismissive demeanor and lack of professionalism. i was at this location twice. the first time was a great experience and they helped me so much, but the second time was nothing compared. i came in at 4:30am with hours of vomiting and other issues prior, the nurse on duty came and took me to a room. the FIRST thing out of his mouth was “are you sure your not pregnant?” mind you i came in with my boyfriend bc i obviously couldn’t drive myself. i told him that i’ve been on a contraceptive for more than 8 years and never had a pregnancy scare. he said “what do schools not teach sex ed anymore?” and tried to educate me on my own medication. he pushed me to take a pregnancy test and what do you know, the pregnancy test came back negative. the nurse didn’t even have the balls to come in and TELL ME! i had to find out through the portal. a man s

I had a terrible experience with Stephanie Shuttleworth April 30th 2024. I was having a miscarriage. She not only gave me no help or options of pain medication or to see if I needed a D&C but she made it known I was an inconvenience to her time. She offered me no options. I was there for about 15 minutes and a 300$ bill later for her to be rude. When she told me it was a threatened abortion I asked what it was, she extremely rudely stated “I’m telling you” with an attitude. She was so unprofessional and had zero compassion. If you don’t have the patience to work in the Er , then don’t. I needed a little compassion , not someone to show me how irritated they were that I was there.

Horrible. My daughter went with a sprained wrist and they didn't have the right equipment and put her in a splint not need and made her wriste worse for weeks. I have now rolled my ankle and they only gave me a shot and ace bandages. Im go back because I've been told by my family doctor I need a boot and my foot and ankle are getting worse
