I’m honestly disgusted with what I witnessed at Emerald Ridge. My sister is a resident there, and the level of unprofessional behavior from some of the staff is unbelievable. One of the younger nurses was passing medications while on her phone loudly cussing out her boyfriend who is apparently in jail. Watching someone handle medications while distracted and arguing on the phone is completely unacceptable. The way some of the staff treated my sister was even worse. It felt like they looked at her like she was a burden instead of a human being who deserves dignity and respect. And the food is absolutely awful. For a facility responsible for people’s health and wellbeing, the meals are terrible. They seriously need to hire an actual chef because what they’re serving residents is embarrassi

First, let me say that I’m not giving a 5-star review because everything was perfect at Emerald Ridge or because every staff member was exemplary (that is an impossible standard for any facility). I am giving a 5-star review because in the three years my brother was resident there with multiple serious health conditions, I spent a lot of time at the facility and interacting with staff and my experience was that the vast majority of staff at Emerald Ridge were highly-competent, very caring and compassionate and very diligent about doing their very best with the resources given. Could more attention be given to certain areas -- food yes, laundary yes - but that is true everywhere. What counts is that I never lacked confidence in his care, and indeed, almost everyone I dealt with, from nur

The Doctors, PA, Nurses, Threapy, CNAs, and housekeeping were simply amazing. I have zero complaints about them. My one huge complaint is the food. While I was there I had to spend hundreds on doordash because the food that's served is absolutely disgusting and if it was something edible you got a very small portion. The kitchen needs some serious help. They tried passing nasty black eye peas off as baked beans, I asked multiple times more than 15 times time for them to send me grits instead of oatmeal with my breakfast and they wouldn't. Also the timing of the meals was never the same. It could vary as much as 3 hours post the posted times meals where meant to be served.

I am an otherwise healthy person who broke all three bones in my ankle and because I didn’t have a family or medical advocate, I was sent to this place. The bathroom smells worse than a urinal and they just shake their heads and say “oh well”. In the 6 days I’ve been here they have forgotten to bring a meal 4 times. When food comes, they say they have run four of sugar for the coffee and butter for the grits and nothing isn’t beige and cold and devoid of any nutrition on the plate. I’m trying to be grateful to the staff but this place should be shut down. I’m getting less healthy every day I’m here.

I went to go visit my grandmother, and I witnessed a full screaming match among some African American employees, who I can only assume is are the cooks. They were all wearing red (assuming bc they're in a gang) and SCREAMING at each other causing some very obvious discomfort among the elders there. This place is over due for some new employees. SERIOUSLY the scummiest place to leave a loved one
