Ely Veterinary Clinic

Every single time we leave the Ely vet, my husband and I rave about how wonderful they are! They are SO caring to our pets, us, and our wallet! We drive almost 2 hours to be treated this well and it's worth every minute, even with cats in a car.

Dr Allison saved our dog’s life this past Saturday. We are eternally grateful for her and the vet tech who helped with the emergency surgery. We called as we raced out of the boundary waters, she knew exactly what was happening and was at the clinic waiting when we arrived. Shayla would have died if she had not been there and now she is snoring at the foot of the bed while I write this. It brings tears to my eyes. I don’t know how I will ever express the depth of gratitude our family feels to Dr Allison and the Ely Veterinary Clinic. Thank you so very very much. Your work, expertise and dedication means the world to us. Our sincerest and most heartfelt Thank You.

A few weeks ago, my dog bolted out into the road and had the end of his tail “degloved” by a car. The clinic was able to get him in right away, and operate on him all within 4 hours. They were incredibly kind and calm despite me being somewhat hysterical. It was also very affordable for what the situation was. Thank you Ely Vet!

My girlfriend got her dog spayed there. She dropped the dog off and I picked her up. The staff that I had interaction with were very friendly and answered all my questions throughly. They gave me clear instructions how to care for the dog post op and what to expect behavioral wise. The cost was shocking to me at $355.10 to spay a lab. Where I was living in TN the county humane society will give you a voucher and pay 100% of the cost to have any dog or cat spay or neutered. It's a shame nothing like that exists in this area or MN. My only other complaint was the dog stinks something fierce. I don't know why but soon as possible she needs a bathing. But like I said ALL the staff I had interaction with were great.

This was my vet clinic for 20 years until I moved. The best care my pets ever received was from Dr. Chip. One of my cats had blasto, he brought medicine from Mexico so that it could be affordable. He saved his life.
