Ellisville Rehab and Nursing

This place is terrible. The CNA’s don’t care at all about you loved ones. They are rude, impatient, unkind, and lazy. The last day I saw my husband alive I sat with him in his room for three hours waiting for someone to come clean him up after he had gotten sick in the dining room. He passed the next day. After he passed and all of the arrangements had been made I was leaving with my daughter and the CNA in the hallway said, “you ladies have a lovely evening.” She k ew my husband had passed. So many times I came in and he wasn’t up out of his bed or changed his blankets were all wet and full of urine. I would never send anyone here again. And now they’ve called and told me that the Medicaid they said was paying for him to be there they had not filed. So now I have to go back and tr

The fall festival was wonderful! It was nice to see the residents smiling and interacting, and I can see the care in the faces of the staff. My mom hasn’t smiled that much since she entered long term care 3 years ago. I appreciate everything the staff does for their residents and families. You are all angels!

My Aunt was there for short term rehab. They did an excellent job. She was able to go back home. There Nursing and Rehab team were very kind and caring meeting all of her needs. Thank you for all you did!!

The state of the garden in front of the building is just the start of the neglect at this facility. There are many excellent service providers and they did their best but they are woefully understaffed. Personal care at times bordered on neglect. It was imperative to have a family member overseeing care, I can’t imagine what it would have been had we not been there. Over a three month stay the refrigerator in the room never worked. Multiple attempts to speak with the administrator about it failed, he didn’t answer emails or letters. A letter to the corporate office about the facility went unanswered. The billing was incorrect and remains so as it is impossible to speak with anyone about it. When we needed a room there were few choices but I would advise you to think twice before

I would highly recommend the memory care floor to anyone! They were great, however when my mom was put on hospice she had to go to the 3rd floor and it was a complete change. Under staffed and the care just wasn't there. There were a few nurses who just seemed like giving my mom her meds to keep her comfortable was a chore and was late giving it to her a lot! I'm sorry but when someone is transiting to death they are in pain and should not have to wait for meds. I had to flag nurses down and they did not seem happy. Probably because they are stretched thin but I really don't care, if you can't have the compassion for someone who is dying then you need to rethink things and think about how you or your loved one would want to be treated at the end of life.
