Elliot Pediatric Specialists

The specialist we saw was extremely helpful. She spent a lot of time listening to the issues, asked so many background questions to help flesh out the history. We are new to the area, and are so happy with the quality of the specialist. She showed compassion and concern, quickly ordering additional testing and support from other Drs. My child felt heard and understood, comfortable and was happy when we left, even though there are more appointments and new medications ahead. I highly recommend the competent staff here.

The neurologist was fantastic, and even though she’s leaving soon she gave us many recommendations more neurologists she trusts. 10/10 she was amazing. So was the team they gave me a million stickers because I liked a certain type.

Susan Vance refused to see us even though we arrived only 11 minutes late. According to the office policy, patients are still supposed to be seen if they are within the 10-minute grace period, yet she chose not to make any effort to help us. Her attitude was rude and unprofessional, and it felt like she did not care about our situation at all. The front desk staff even mentioned that they had to check whether she was “in a good mood” before deciding if we could be taken in, which is very concerning. Medical care should not depend on someone’s mood, and the way this situation was handled was unfair and disrespectful.

Dr. Integlia was amazing. Our daughter has been struggling with chronic stomach pain for months and all the tests, bloodwork have come back normal. Dr. Integlia spent an hour with us and asked great questions directed at our daughter, not us. He made her feel comfortable and didn’t just ask about her stomach. Before the appointment we were expecting him to recommend a strict diet to try and identify food sensitivities and a colonoscopy to look for other issues. We were relieved when he said those things were not necessary and got a diagnosis of DGBI (disorder of gut brain interaction) which appears to be easily treated with some diet improvements and natural things like hypnotherapy (available on YouTube) and peppermint supplements. There is nothing more scary than when your child needs to be admitted to the hospital. I could not fathom going through this without the support of the staff at The Elliott Pediatric. Doctor Wentworth was amazing she explained everything to us in a way a small child could understand. My daughter bonded with the Child life specialist Samantha, she was such a great distraction during a procedure that would scare me. Doctor Soukup was also able to explain everything so we had a vast of knowledge of what was going on with our child. Due to the sensitivity of her diagnosis we were able to understand why the medical team was preceding with treatment the way they were. The Nurses! Wow!
