Ellenville Urgent Care (Middletown Medical)

I brought my teenage son here because he had severe throat pain. The nurse glanced at his throat for literally a second and said everything looked fine. My son asked her to please look again because it was extremely painful. She glanced again just as quickly and dismissed him. They did a quick throat swab and sent us on our way. We were in the exam room for under 10 minutes total. Later, I saw they billed our insurance for 45 minutes at a $636 rate. That does not reflect the care we received. I have reported this to the insurance fraud hotline because the billing does not match the service provided. Experiences like this are exactly why healthcare in the U.S. feels so unaffordable. When providers overbill for minimal care, families are the ones who ultimately pay for it. Very disappointed.

Everyone was nice enough here, but I had a pretty horrible experience with them losing my paperwork. I went in on a Monday for an employment physical that should have been completed that day because it was only one question and a signature but the practitioner told me she was too busy and I could pick it up in a couple days so I called on Wednesday and they said it wasn’t ready and then I called Friday and they told me to come back Monday. I went in on Monday and they told me the had lost the paperwork (and that I wasn’t the only one whose paperwork they had lost that week) then they couldn’t get ahold of the practitioner who had seen me, but if I sent them the paperwork they would have it done and emailed to me that night. Amazinggg care. I have had anxiety during blood pressure reads for 10+ years and somehow the nurse had me so comfortable and laughing that I finally got a normal reading. Dr. Long was so caring and warm and also very clear. I really enjoyed my primary care experience here
