Elko Veterinary Clinic

Buddy is new to the area and became ill and dehydrated. I took him to Elko Vet and they were extremely thorough with his care, and keeping me updated during his hospital stay. He made many new friends and he and I are very happy he is feeling better! The boarding experience was excellent also! I recommend this vet for all his needs! Thank you Elko Vet for treating Buddy like one of your own!

We were in town for a couple of days and my pup was noticed to be bleeding on her tail. It was a sunday so we looked to see if any vet was open and Elko Veterinary clinic was. I called right away and they were able to get us in asap. Once we were there we were immediately taken care of from the amazing care of the front end staff to the knowledgeable excellence of the vet and vet techs. Our experience was 1000/10 and made me wish I did live in elko so they could continue to take care of my Cal. Also, their facility is gorgeous and they had free coffee in the lobby. :) Cal and I thank you all at Elko Veterinary Clinic! ✨

My dog ate 2 blocks of rat poison while visiting family in Winnemucca. It was Sunday, so local vets were closed. We decided to take Pixie to Elko Veterinary Clinic since it was the closest open clinic. Dr McCoy was extremely helpful. She told us that Pixie needed IVs and monitoring overnight. This was our only option against brain damage since there isn’t an antidote. I’m thankful for this clinics aggressive treatment plan for our dog. If Dr McCoy weren’t so honest, Pixie may have not made it. I’m happy to say, 5 days later, our Pixie girl is doing great and not showing any neurological damage. Thank you Dr McCoy and staff.

I recently had a barn call for my geldings from Dr Lia McCoy of Elko Veterinary Clinic. She is an equine vet who I would definitely recommend to any local horse owners. She is not only professional and knowledgeable; she, along with her team (Trinette & Rachel) were great with my horses! As a client, I appreciate Dr McCoy’s collaborative approach to treating my animals. She educates the owner as she treats their animals. While her specialty is in the equine field of veterinary medicine, she’s also seen my border collie/aussie mix dog and was great with her as well. If you’re looking for a professional, knowledgeable and caring vet for your equine partners, Dr Lia McCoy is the best!!

I have been taking my two pitties to Elko veterinary. They’ve been so patient with my growing pups. My pups are a little aggressive right now since they haven’t been around people, they are five months old but have been coming to this vet since they was six old. I am happy that they are treating my babies like their own. It used very affordable as well. I think I found my puppies permanent location! They helped us fight severe ringworm!
