I had placed my husband, with advanced dementia, in Arden Courts, Towson, MD.in January 2024. The care was so poor, I was at my wit's end about what to do. My niece directed me to Elizabeth Cooney. They started 8 hours during the night. Eventually it was 24/7. They were wonderful. They took wonderful care of my husband. Our favorite was Markesia, but they were all good caregivers.

Our experience was last year, maybe Jan/Feb 2023. I panicked when bringing my father home to our home when leaving the hospital. I needed help asap, I needed to get some sleep so I could be a good caregiver to him during the day. I needed someone to be there to help him, change him, spoil him, so I could rest up for daytime. Elizabeth Cooney was probably the 3rd or 4th agency I called. The Cooney Agency sent a wonderful caregiver within hours/same day. We ended up doing 24 hrs care for 1.5 weeks. They were fabulous and we could request our favorite caregivers. They were here for him and us, until the very end.

Although they came highly recommended by hospital staff when we were looking to bring my Mom home from rehab after a fall, our results were so mixed, I just cannot recommend. Some of the nurses were kind and competent, but the office staff was spotty at best and often unresponsive. At one point the caregiver scheduled was an hour and a half late (fortunately I was home and could back her up that morning), but that evening when I returned to my house, I looked at security camera and saw that my Mom had not been put to bed. My Mom is a fall risk with dementia and needs supervision to navigate the stairs to her bedroom and to get dressed for bed and instead the aide just decided to leave early (maybe my Mom said "sure you can go" but guess what? you don't want a babysitter abandoning a 5yo ch
