I guess all places like this are bad but the experience my grandmother had was awful. She was ignored when needing to use the bathroom or have a light turned on. She sat in the dark for over an hour. The staff left her in the bathroom for an hour and a half. The staff would hang out right outside her doorway talking loudly and laughing. There were doors constantly slamming, she must have been near a supply closet. No respect for the patients who are trying to rest and recover. Here's the kicker... the day she was leaving they said they had arranged a transport to bring her home. They were an hour and a half late and the person showed up in a mini van, no lift, no gurney to put her in... it was a damn Uber... seems to me they never set up a transport and after I complained they cal

Our experience with Elevate Care Palos was disappointing overall. The cleanliness of the facility was a major concern—there were persistent odors, scuffed walls, and worn, beat-up furniture in my dad’s room, which did not give the impression of a well-maintained rehab environment. While our daytime nurse, Patricia, was excellent and the physical therapists seemed very attentive and skilled, serious issues overshadowed those positives. My dad was hospitalized and they noticed he had aspirated food into his lungs (while being fed) and was diagnosed with MRSA bacteremia (a blood infection), which he did not have prior to his stay. While I was with my sister she was evaluated by a wonderful PT. He was so gentle and kind. My sister is severely brain damaged and totally unresponsive. I was able to pray over her and talk to her. She shed a tear which to me meant she felt my presence.

I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND ELEVATE CARE IN PALOS!!! We have a family member at Elevate Care, though it has not been a whole month yet we have already seen some progress. My husband suffered 2 strokes in May 2025 at Christ hospital during a procedure making him completely bedridden and fed through a stomach tube. Before coming to Elevate care he was at another facility (Alyia) where he didn’t progress at all and we were told not much progress would be made. Here at Elevate Care we were met by Keisha ( wonderful lady) who showed us around the facility and explained how my husband would be taking care of and showed us the huge area where his PT would take place. We were very happy to see how clean the rooms were and how things were set up for the patients coming into their facility. Everyo

I would highly recommend this place for your love ones, it’s as close to home and the hospital as you can get, very kind people who gives a care about you love ones, you not only can see it while you’re there, they keep in touch with you about almost every movements of you love ones when you’re away, and the love one who’s is there says the same, thank you all so very much
