Elderwood at Williamsville

Food tasted awful, always cold, small portions. I was given someone else’s meal 3 times. Severely understaffed. Call button takes sometimes an hour or more to answer. Bathroom is dirty. Toilet paper holder is hanging off the wall. The bathroom call button cord is not connected. On the plus side the therapists were fantastic.

Terrible staffing problems leaves patients abandoned on evenings and weekends. Experienced hearing patients screaming for help for hours. Approaching staff results in the not my job response or ignoring requests for help.

We used Elderwood sub acute care for my mother. For the most part the staff was good. She didn’t mind the food.

Can't say enough about my rehabilitation stay. Staff is great! Food is good. Definitely recommend if you need rehabilitation!!

Since I know only those with a complaint will usually take the time to post, I felt it only fair to balance those out with my happy review. My Mom developed dementia several years ago and after trying a lot of other options, she ended up here and it was a great fit. From day 1, we, her family, felt welcomed, informed and felt like Mom was getting quality, compassionate care. Some days, I would actually get several updates from the various caring staff that worked with her as she deteriorated until her passing and even after. Never once, on any family visit, did we ever feel she wasn’t getting adequate care. The one time I suggested we lower her bed as she was developing balance issue, it was promptly lowered.
