Elderwood at Waverly

My grandfather Mickey Park said the staff is really nice it takes great care of him. He said everyone is very respectful and he has zero complaints. Even in his 90s, he’s always been a flirt so it’s funny to see a younger female staff Member walk by and to see him give her a little wave and she smiles and winks back at him, which made him chuckle. Thanks you to the staff for doing a job that I clearly saw in person can be a tough job to do.

They retaliate against employees who called them out for improper treatment of patients (allegedly). And they also treat their patients badly. Food is terrible, often patients are left in their own fecal matter for hours, resulting in bed sores. So think about that before sending grandma there. 🤭

My grandmother was here for just over two years. In that time she fell and broke her hip, had multiple other falls, and I even walked in on her on the floor as she fell out of her wheelchair. No changes were made to her wheelchair until I kept calling and calling demanding change. All of the other reviews greatly describe why I don’t recommend Elderwood. But what really took the cake for me, my grandmother got sick and was on oxygen and I didn’t get a call. I then didn’t get a call when they put her on the full face mask. Lastly, I didn’t get a call when she passed. I had to call and ask. This all happened in less than 48 hours. Had a family member not gone and seen that she was on oxygen and in distress, my mom wouldn’t have gotten those last couple hours with her and I wouldn’t have been

Do not recommend Elderwood!! I have had horrible care here in rehab!! Lay in my own filth does not give out meds on time !!!! I cannot wait to get out of here!!!!! Continuance...inhumane treatment of me. I am a 69 year old woman with many previous health issues. I have been forced to painful physical therapy sessions without any empathy or consideration of my health history. No 69 year old handicapped woman should have to be subject to these painful treatments. I could have an heart attack or another stroke...it could cause my death

Not sure what the menu use to be, but they have made changes. Food was good. Unbelievable items were the black bean salad and split pea soup. Accommodations were enjoyable. Staff was excellent, responsive and friendly. Ot an pt were excellent and well trained. There concern is with the patient and not the bottom line. Highly recommended.
