El Paso Children’s Hospital

I’m in the children’s ED right now and I would like to share my experience. First: the entire staff from the security person checking my bag to the registrar to the nurse assistant have been so helpful. I’m here with my 10 year old son and the entire room is filled with sick kiddos. Anyone who knows having a sick child can be very scary. Second: I just want to thank the entire elpaso children’s medical staff. And I ask for anyone who comes in - please show grace and kindness to them. They are working so hard to bring the best quality care to every patient and family member. Thank you El Paso Children’s Hospital for helping my son. Military base hospitals are famous for not having the friendliest of staff or services but I think I'd rather go to Ft. Bliss than here ever again. I knew my daughter would be in the NICU since 16 weeks of pregnancy, it was unavoidable due to her condition. But I should've chosen a different hospital for her care, I had to watch in horror, along with my parents, on their hardly functioning nic-view cams as my daughter vomited everywhere and it took anyone 15 minutes to even get to her. She could've choked, aspirated, and she was just laying in it while I rushed up the elevator to get to the NICU and her. Not to mention, I was constantly questioned why my husband wasn't there. He was in field training, he is a soldier, I don't even get him for dinner 85% of the time and that is okay, but o

Excellent service, nurses are bilingual and kind. The only thing that we wanted to leave this hospital was because emergency room took like 7 hours to have our room approval and I don’t know if it was because Sunday night or it’s always like that. Also many residents coming to ask the same thing over and over. Surgery for my daughter went well the surgeon and team were profesional and explained everything they make sure I understood the process. Anesthesiologist made me calm about this surgery and explain me. Social worker was kind.

We just had our first baby boy here and we just couldn't have asked for anything better. The nurses are extremely nice and caring as well as Dr. Romo. A wonderful experience. Thank you!
