El Camino Hospital Seminar

1/27/2026 El Camino Cafe 2500 Grant Rd Mountain View, CA 94040 I went there for breakfast on a Tuesday to try it since it's close to me. It's downstairs from the hospital entrance lobby. The ambiance is institutional cafeteria with a cook station and warming tray buffet. I selected hash browns, scrambled eggs, pork sausage and bacon from the buffet; then took my paper plate and paid at the check out register. It was $8.46! The dining area is across the Cafe with tables and booths. The food is warm, not hot and pretty standard for a high quality cafeteria breakfast. The sausage was very good, juicy and tasty. Wow eat here or pickup sandwiches to go! No driving to find food - just go to basement level of hospital. I am going to bring my coworkers (blindfolded lol) for lunch. Full plate $5-10. 5 of us ate there a solid 2x for 7 days. The chefs are gormet quality. Grill, hot food buffet with 3 mains 5 sides, and 2 soups, and Global cusine that makes to order a selective menu. We loved the Grill and buffet. Grill has beef, salmo , chicken burgers, reg & sweet potato fries AND PIZZA (cheese or pep)!!!

Amazing food..................................................... Whenever it is my own, or one of my family member's birthday, we always come to this restaurant. Brilliant food. Simply amazing. Chef Ram, the head chef, is the legend of cooking. Definitely come here. P.S. This restaurant has the perfect atmosphere for anniversaries and dates (my wife and I had our first date, and 50th anniversary meal here).

I don't generally associate hospitals with good food, but in this case it applies. The food is consistently good, and there is a wide variety of options. If you're at the hospital, don't think you need to go elsewhere for a decent bite to eat.

Surprisingly it tastes really good. However, it is expensive. I got Beijing Pork Stir Fry, Squash, and Broccoli for the total to be $11.
