Unfortunately, this time I had a strange experience. Initially dealing with Dr Rason or however you spell her name. I got a bad vibe. I am 55 years old and every dentist has shook my cheek or jaw when administering the numbing shot. She did not. I gave her a pass the first time. This last appointment she waited a long time after the gel Novocain and it wore off. I let her know the pinch is a bit sharp and the Novocain was put in the side of my cheek and not the back of my mouth. She said it numbs the whole side regardless of where it’s put. I said ok. And then she proceeded to tell me how many crowns I had. I then asked her to explain to me what was needed and what was being done. She said I needed two crowns on the top and two on the bottom. My wife and I have had a root canal, cleaning and other work and all of it is coming back to haunt us. Just yesterday her implant came out. Hence why I had to leave a review years later. Ive had a crown that had to be repaired a few times and not to mention during my root canal, the person working on me seemed to be 'not as experienced' as it was taking so long they had to call another dentist to take over. In my life Ive had 4 different dentists (due to moving or insurance) I had to switch.. this place was the was the worst of them.

I had to change dentists because of insurance changes. After starting at a corporate dentist I found El Cajon Family Dental. Everyone who works there has been wonderful starting with the front office. Everyone works as a team and it makes the experience I most dread very comfortable. I highly recommend them.

As I mentioned on a precious post, this highly professional team of dentists are always courteous, capable and meticulous with their work. The whole team effectively work together in a pleasant way. I recommend this dental practice to anyone who needs to have healthy teeth without being afraid of going to the dentist.
