Eisenhower Urgent Care - Palm Springs

Gave them a two star because of their billing. They are an urgent care and billed me for an emergency room visit. When we called to dispute the bills charge of an emergency room visit the representative informed us that was their practice. We are NOT a rural area to have standalone emergency rooms. With their prices we could’ve gone to the emergency room and it would have saved me hundreds of dollars. Unfortunate they get away with this.

I agree with many of the reviews regarding the doctors. The nurse was kind, the front desk ok, but the doctor was not worth the visit. After waiting over a half hour after the nurse did the intake, the Doc finally came in but acted as if he was bothered having to do so. Didn't listen, didn't offer good advice, leaned casually against the counter looking bored and left in a flash. If you have an option to go elsewhere, I would recommend doing so.

The non-MD staff is great. However, all the doctors here are possessed with a hard-wired patient avoidance system. They avoid any extraneous conversation, e.g. assurance, explanations, etc., at all cost. They actually tell you the talking part of the exam is finished. These doctors act like they're on community service and are repulsed to have to spend more than a few extra seconds with patients. It's actually quite ridiculous. I'm a professional in a different field, and to watch their behavior is beyond bizarre. I know their response will be they're busy, but on the 3 occasions I spent there the waiting room was virtually empty. They must spend their non-patient time on the phone with their brokers.

It bugs me when a place gets knocked down by a few bad reviews, especially when many of them are related to insurance issues. My experience here was excellent. Friendly and efficient front desk staff, and the provider I saw was kind, professional, and came up with an excellent diagnosis. I arrived at 7:30 am and there were six people ahead of me. Despite that I was in an out in under an hour, indicating they are well staffed. I have no hesitation recommending this place very highly. If you’re in a hurry arrive early.

I’d read negative things on-line about ER services in Palm Springs but when I had a cat bite get infected the staff at the Eisenhower Urgent Care in Palm Springs took excellent care of me. I went in early on a Sunday morning and was seen in five minutes. Everyone was knowledgeable and professional and I was out the door - with a tetanus shot and a prescription for antibiotics and a pain reliever - within 30 minutes. I highly recommend this facility.
