Our family has had a very difficult experience with continuity of care at this hospital over the past five weeks. Our mother has been transported here six times in that time period. She has been admitted to the ICU four times and has spent full days waiting in the ER on multiple occasions. She suffers from liver dysfunction that causes dangerously high ammonia levels, and lactulose is a critical medication that keeps her from slipping into a coma. Twice she was discharged home without lactulose and became unresponsive within 24 hours, requiring emergency transport back to the hospital. Most recently, she arrived coherent and taking her prescribed lactulose. After admission, the medication was stopped and within 48 hours her ammonia level reached 270 and she became comatose and required I

First, a medical worker ignored me while I was asking where the emergency entrance was, acting as if they couldn’t hear me. Then my daughter — who was dehydrated and in need of an IV — was told she could wait up to eight hours. Maybe I’m just used to respectful, attentive healthcare professionals serving the public in Orange County. The difference in the level of care is shocking. The desert healthcare system has been incredibly disappointing.

I recently had to visit the emergency department and I was very impressed. I am originally from Canada where sometimes you can wait up to multiple hours just to see the doctor. The doctor saw me within 20 minutes, ordered the right tests, and I was in and out in decent time. Every single person that I came into contact with was very professional and caring. Great job!

I have always been satisfied with the medical care I have received at Eisenhower hospital and my doctors have always been outstanding. My rating reflects the level of services provided by DHOCC PRE-Admission testing. They do not have a clean facility where you can provide a sample for urinalysis instead you have to go to an outside bathroom which is not hygienic to provide a sample! In addition, they failed to provide me with with preoperative cleansing/showering instructions; and in prior occasions they have provided that. It is a major disappointment that the level of service is so deficient !

I was admitted to the hospital on November 15 with severe tachycardia. My heart had been beating 130 BPM for 10 hours. I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. I was in the ER overnight, and in the care of a wonderful nurse named Francisco Sanchez, who got my heart back into normal rhythm and saved my life. He was very skilled and compassionate, one of the kindest healthcare professionals I have ever dealt wealth in my 66 years on this earth. I’m enormously grateful to him.
