What can I say about ECMCs CPEP unit. Well, let's start with the disgusting floors, food bits everywhere, flies and fruit flies hovering everywhere, was scared to to take my time eating the disgusting "food" Incase the flies landed on it. I was given a mattress on the floor because all the chairs were taken with patients trying to sleep. The staff were inattentive and rude, often seeming uncaring when they did listen to me speak. There was easily 16 other patients with me there at any given time. It was a hassle just to get a simple Tylenol for a headache, or the nicotine patch cause I'm a smoker. I thought my previous stay in 2017 was horrid, but it seems they've one upped themselves. Shout out to some of the awesome patients tho, who made the time there somewhat tolerable, made friends w

My mom had a wonderful experience at ECMC psych. She was in 5 Zone 1, 5 Zone 2 is also attached. The staff there were very kind and encouraging. These reviews are scary, but ECMC saved my moms life and gave us tools to continue her recovery. We had taken her to Memorial hospital earlier in the year and they did absolutely nothing for her. Brylin refused to take her due to mobility issues. ECMC took very good care of her and the ECT treatments saved her life.

i just wanted to share my experience here. i am still traumatized by the way myself and all of the other patients were treated here. i was brought to this place by ambulance from a different hospital involuntarily. i had a routine appt and then saw a social worker who wanted me to see a crisis team. the crisis team refused to come see me. after waiting 3 hours i was told i was going to be taken by ambulance to another hospital (ECMC) and that i didn’t have a choice wether i wanted to go or not. mind you i was completely in a safe space and talking to my therapist the entire time. i tried getting my team at the other hospital to talk to my therapist before sending me the cpep because she would have told them that i am ok. but nope. when arriving into the emergency room i was immediately put

My wife went to ECMC because she needed an adjustment on her anti depressant levels. She got put into CPEP for over 24 hours before seeing a Dr. They didn't give her the meds she was already taking and she didn't sleep the whole time because she was afraid of the other patients. After not sleeping and being legit afraid for almost 35 hours imagine what your mental state would be. The worst part is even though she put herself in there not for suicidal tendencies she couldn't leave until she saw a Dr. NYS and ECMC should be ashamed of themselves. Why on earth would u combine people who r unstable/ Dangerous w patients who just needed to see a Dr for a little adjustment? If you or a family member need help I'd go here as a last resort and Even then I may say no thanks and wait it out for my r

Before I actually start my review, I'd like to start by saying I don't care if officials find my following statements offensive or whatever. Infact give me your money for the trauma I endured and my sister endured though no amount can make up for it. Experience in short:Neglect So, obviously an awful experience CPEP. I went there a few years ago 2019 2021 etc and the staff did not care and proceed to tell patients that they don't care about them. I'd been asked before If I had thought of suicide and as punishment I was put in the respite room where you are all alone. There's a bed, a table and a TV with no remote and it ain't on. There's glass where nurses can watch you too except no one gave a good damn about my care. They laughed and giggled. No one checked on me they just walked past
