Dr. Ferber is very knowledgeable and takes the time to answer all of my questions, especially when I have concerns about my dog, Peanut. As a first-time dog owner, every little thing feels important, and I appreciate the time he takes to speak with me and address any concerns I have. He’s accommodating and makes you feel secure in the care your pet is receiving.

East Meadow Veterinary is a great practice. Dr. Olcha has taken such great care of my recent senior rescue Chloe. She came to him with intense and serious skin issues that were severely impacting her quality of life. Dr. Olcha has really researched, explained and prescribed medications that have given her her life back. It has taken quite a few months to find the right course of treatment and Dr. Olcha has been so diligent and caring. He is always responsive to questions and phone calls. The practice does NOT push excessive procedures and tests, you do not feel pressured or pushed into anything. I recommend them without hesitation!

I'm so happy to have found this place. The family cat was an indoor/outdoor domestic and never had an issue, save for one bad vaccination response when he was 12. But he got older and obviously started to need care when he was losing weight. I went to another vet in Plainview that charged $2600 just for X-rays and was mortified at their push for more and more testing. Not these people. They remind me of the kind of doctors and vet office that were around decades ago, before everything turned into corporate kiosks. They took amazing care of my kitty, and have continuously cared for him whenever I needed. Dr. Ferber is fantastic! We brought my childhood pup here, who had bad knee problems and he took excellent care of her. We are now bringing our new puppy here and Dr. Ferber took the time to explain everything to us. Truly great vet and staff!

We’ve been bringing our pet to East Meadow Veterinary Center for five years, and the care we’ve received has always been outstanding. Most recently, our 73 lb Rottweiler mix, Roscoe, was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor (MCT) in May 2025. It’s been a very emotional journey, but we are incredibly grateful for Dr. Olcha, who has been treating Roscoe with exceptional skill, compassion, and dedication. Dr. Olcha took the time to explain Roscoe’s diagnosis clearly, helped us understand our options, and answered all our questions with honesty and patience. In early July, Roscoe underwent surgery, and unfortunately, the tumor was confirmed to be an aggressive form of cancer.
