Dr. Higgins and Dr. Maltese are INCREDIBLE. They always make time and effort for my furry babies. They are extremely personable and both are super caring. Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else for your pet!

I’ve been taking my fur babies to Dr. Waters for 2 years now and I couldn’t be happier. You can tell she really loves animals and cares about them and I know my babies are in great hands when they are there. They have a separate waiting room for cats and Dr. Waters is a certified fear free vet so my cats are handled in a way that reduces their fear and anxiety. My most recent foster to adopt kitty just had some pretty bad GI issues and he had to spend a few days at the hospital. He was so loved and well taken care of. There is no one I would trust more to take care of my fur babies than Dr. Waters and the team at East Bay Veterinary Hospital. They really go out of their way to make you and your pets feel like family.

Dr. Waters is truly one of a kind. She’s not just a veterinarian—she’s a calm and compassionate force of nature who goes above and beyond for both her patients and their people. From the moment you walk through the door, her gentle, patient energy puts even the most anxious pets(and people) at ease. You can tell she genuinely cares—not just about treating symptoms, but about creating a positive, stress-free experience for your animal and building trust every step of the way. I am not local to East Bay Animal Hospital and it is 100% worth the 40+ minute drive!

Dr Selmonsky and Dr Waters have been great with both Bull Terriers I have. Very thorough and helpful across the board, even in emergency situations. Highly recommend this practice!

Visiting in Merrick from out of town when my maltese starts to constantly tremble. He was diagnosed with Addison’s Disease last yr but current with Zycortal injection & daily oral meds. Was referred to East Bay and spent 3 consecutive days at the veterinary hospital doing diagnosis & treatment. Drs Higgins, Maltese & Selmonsky all had a hand in figuring out what was needed to get my dog back on track & well again! I can’t thank the entire team enough including Lina ( who couldn’t get enough of him), the gals at the front desk, all the vets but especially to Dr Higgins who was in constant communication with me & ultimately figured out the best course of treatment!
