Dutchtown Pharmacy

Our entire family has been using Dutchtown Pharmacy for many years. Today went to pickup medication, they refilled a medication I haven't taken for months again. I have called multiple times plus spoken to them in person that I know longer take this prescription. Lately we have had multiple issues with this pharmacy. The pharmacist working today was extremely grumpy.

We have been customers of Dutchtown Pharmacy since we moved to the area 12 years ago and have always been pleased with the service we received. Today we had an issue with a medication the doctor wrote. She request a generic drug but no generic was available and our insurance copay was $70 for the brand. The pharmacist helped us locate a copay card and when that was still more than we were willing to pay for a maintenance medication she said we can always call the doctor to prescribe something different. We decided not to fill and check back with the doctor for an alternative. We would have never received this quick and personalized attention from the pharmacists at Walgreen across the street. We appreciate this pharmacy so much!

I had an unpleasant experience with an employee when picking up prescriptions and it caused me to leave a 1 star review. I am changing it to a 5 star because I was contacted about the experience and I feel like the owner will use it as constructive criticism and an example to help her employees improve.

I have had great service here. No complaints at all. The staff is always professional and very kind. Very pleased with our local pharmacy!

I had such hopes for a local small business. We have tolerated rudeness and no meds. Today I had to switch pharmacies. We had three prescriptions to be filled. None of which were narcotics two were only ointments. I was told I had to wait for order to be filled. One we waited over 7 days. I needed one ointment immediately. They called my doc and changed to a cream. No relief with cream. I guess that’s why my doc prescribed an ointment. Within 15 minutes I had my ointment from another pharmacy. Relief.
