Dupont Hospital

I had a very reassuring visit for my surgery at Dupont H. Everybody was extremely friendly and good-natured. The anesthesiologist was friendly and very attentive to my questions and informed me of the inherent risks. The pre-op nurse was courteous and kept us posted about delays in the schedule. The OR nurse who took me to surgery introduced herself and made me feel comfortable. A nurse in the OR was naturally, smiling widely and told that they were going to "take good care" of me. That was very reassuring. The post-op nurse immediately told me where I was and what was going on and complemented me on my decreased bleeding. I don't remember the afternoon and evening staff very well but I am sure that they did a good job of getting me settled. My afternoon nurse politely reminded me that

We arrived at 11 pm .and was awake all night because of admission, check in (could have been done in AM.), more labs.., etc. I realize things needed to be done. The pre of nurses and Dr's were great explanain the procedures and post op well. Dr came out and explained things again about recovery. He also answered questions well. Very nice.

I delivered my first baby at Dupont Hospital, via c section, and the experience was awesome from start to finish. The first nurse, Amanda I think, did the check in, vitals, questionnaire. She was amazing and personable. The lady who did my IV, made me feel relaxed. She talked to me about her birthing experience, gave major grandma vibes. When we got to the OR, the anesthesiologist, Jackie, was so cool. She felt like that cool friend you've known forever. She made me laugh, and took pics of the whole process. A lot of women say they feel the spinal tap site several months after getting it. I felt the numbing needle at first, and never again after that. Everything went very smooth with my procedures. Every single person from checking in to pre and post op was amazing. Everything was explained clearly, both doctors stepped in to talk to me before surgery. The nurses were great at explaining each step to me and my husband.

This is my second year going to the DuPont Hospital Center for Breast Health. Charlie, who at the Front desk, always greets me with a smile and makes sure I have a wonderful check-in experience. Ashley was the Radiology Tech. She was very pleasant, and made sure that my experience was wonderful as well. They both provided excellent customer service which was is truly appreciated! I look forward to returning next year for my annual visit.
