Dupont Hospital - Emergency Room

I was treated very well at Lutheran hospital emergency care. The staff was quite professional while also being quite warm and welcoming. All questioning was respectful and never condescending. Procedures performed were explained as to what knowledge was to be learned. My diagnosis was arrived at with thorough examination. I left with a relieved feeling of being well- cared-for, and happily acquired my prescribed medication. I have continued to experience improvement since this visit. I am grateful.

The front desk receptionist was very professional however once I was called back the male nurse even though I was in a wheelchair he called me and walked away my disabled husband had to push me, I told the nurse and what I was told was a doctor that my doctor sent me , a few test were run but I was never really examined except to look literally (didnt even touch me) on my legs big bruise looking spots had appeared suddenly and he said "" looks like dry skin just go home and put some lotion on it then rolled his eyes and walked away .... We waited for hrs for simple blood and urine another man came in and ask what I weigh I told him I was t sure as I'm now on zepbound for weight loss he said good then shook his head ...really!! After he of sitting another doctor came in again never touched

A trip to the ER is never pleasant but the patient care I received was amazing. Nurse Brittany and Dr. Ludwig were so kind, professional, understanding, patient, and talented in caring for me and resolving my issue. They both put my husband and I at ease as soon as we were seen. Hoping we don’t have to make another visit but should we have to we will not hesitate choosing Dupont Hospital.

The nurses would come quickly when I pressed the call button, they where kind and understand. The pain nurse told me everything that would happen and how I would feel with a medication to ease my anxiety. She assured me she would not leave the room until I was feeling safe for her to do it

Everything was done in a timely manner, but I wasn’t sent home with any pain meds for an ankle fracture in 3 spots. Even after asking about them and having confirmation I would get some. I asked the nurses the next day at the surgery center if that was odd. They said that it’s very abnormal. Asked multiple times for clarification on what the plan was for the next day; never got a clear response.
