She is truly an exceptional pediatrician — thorough, caring, and highly skilled. Dr. Helton examined my daughters with such detail and gentleness, making them feel completely at ease throughout the visit. She treated my kids as if they were her own, which deeply impressed me as a parent. Having lived in the Philippines, the Middle East, and the UK, I’ve encountered many pediatricians — but Dr. Helton stands out as the very best. I cannot recommend Duke Primary Care Pediatrics enough! My son is 5 with level 3 ASD and is non verbal, so finding decent care has been extremely difficult for us. After being berated by our last pediatrician I started deep diving into the best pediatrician for my son and his needs. I found Mary Beth Helton, MD, FAAP! She is absolutely wonderful. She listened to all my concerns judgment free and validated me throughout the entire visit. I had a wonderful experience with everything! The front desk was amazing and friendly, they had a kid TV area for my older kids and a sensory room for my son. Ironically we did have to use it due to a meltdown. I felt safe, respected, and heard. I’m Alex, David’s son. I have been going to this pediatric hospital for a few years now, and I can confirm that it is very good. Dr. Helton is great at understanding autistic teens (like me) and I would highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Nicole and Nurse Kamal are an incredible team! From the moment we walked in, they made my son feel completely comfortable and cared for. Their calm, reassuring approach and genuine concern turned what could have been a stressful visit into such a positive experience. Dr. Nicole’s attention to detail and the way she explains everything with such patience truly stands out, and Nurse Kamal’s gentle, friendly manner made all the difference, and one of the major reason for our revisit to this location. It’s rare to find a team that combines professionalism with such warmth, usually other locations are closet to me but we prefer this location because of the team Nicole— we’re so grateful for their care and compassion!

Kamal (Nurse) and Nicole (Dr) is our favorite pair when we visit Duke Green Level Pediatrics. They provide best advice for our both toddlers whenever we visit them. My kids also very much comfortable with them.
