Duke Cardiology of Cary Waverly

I had a good overall experience at Duke Health. The facility was clean, well organized, and my clinical care team was professional and attentive. My appointment itself went smoothly, and I generally felt well taken care of. However, I was uncomfortable with my interaction at the front desk. A staff member, Ms. Meha, questioned me across the room about what specific procedure I was scheduled for, in a way that could be heard by others in the waiting area. I did not feel this was appropriate, and it raised concerns for me regarding patient privacy and potential HIPAA considerations. I hope Duke Health will continue to emphasize discretion and confidentiality at check-in, as privacy is a very important part of patient care. Aside from this issue, my visit was positive.

Doctor and staff wonderful BUT My chart said to be there at 7:30 for a 7:45 appointment. Drove from 2 hrs away to find a sign on door that they opened at 8. The check- in desk ( one door down) did open at 7:45 .

Wonderful experience! We had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Pendayl for my mom's appointment and the staff was phenomenal. Our front desk receptionist assisted in setting up the MyChart information and we were called by the nurse within minutes. After the EKG was completed (less than minutes), Dr. Pendayl came in to begin. He was very personable, competent and thorough. He did a great job at addressing all of our questions and concerns and scheduled follow-ups to rule out any possible issues. We needed to revisit for additional tests and were concerned over travel issues however, Divya and Kameron worked their magic and was able to have us seen the same day. I am overly pleased with our service today and would highly recommend for any Cardioligy concerns.

I had an exceptional experience, thanks to the outstanding assistance from the front desk staff and the exceptional care provided by Dee, a remarkably kind and attentive technician. Her unbelievable echocardiogram interpretation skills were matched only by her compassionate bedside manner, making her a true master of her craft. Thank you for creating a safe and welcoming space!

Dr Cara Hoke is just wonderful!!! Excellent bedside manner and very knowledgeable, positive and up to date on everything new. One of the best doctors I've ever encountered. She really inspires hope in me and is able to give me inspiration and motivation when my energy seemed at zero.
