Drs. Carroll, Casteen & Lawrence Family Dentistry

We have been going to Carroll, Casteen & Lawrence Family Dentistry (CCL Family Dentistry) for years, and we couldn’t be happier with the care we receive. Dr. Lawrence has been my dentist for the past few years, and he is truly wonderful. He is incredibly gentle and genuinely cares about his patients’ overall well-being — not just their dental health. The support staff is absolutely amazing. Everyone is attentive, kind, and always greets patients with a smile. I especially appreciate that they value your time — I’m consistently called back promptly without long waits. Since becoming a patient at CCL, I no longer fear the dentist’s chair. Husband & I have loved everyone in this office & make the trip from Newport News bc they’re so helpful, caring & competent. I’ve had cleanings, referrals to specialists for jaw issues, fillings, & tooth problems historically that they’ve helped immensely on. Dentist appointments were never anyone’s favorite but this office is so helpful & Dr.Lawrence is so genuine, I haven’t had one problem ever. They even call to see if I want to take earlier appointments when they pop up which is great & unexpected!

My first visit (new patient) yesterday was very pleasant and productive. I was welcomed and assisted with my paperwork-questions at the desk and had each procedure explained by the staff as they took x-rays and 3-D photos and gathered further information to begin my chart. The dentist, Dr. Castine, was friendly and efficient and even adjusted the fit of a partial denture I've had difficulty with. Overall, as I said, a pleasant and productive visit.

Great experience from start to finish. My dental tech was extremely patient and explained everything clearly throughout my scaling and root planing procedure. She made me feel comfortable and well cared for. I’m very thankful for her professionalism and kindness!

I’ve mostly had good experiences with dentist but I’m still always leery of finding a new dentist because of one extremely horrible experience. I researched in network offices and looked at the ratings. Dr. Carroll’s had the best ratings and outstanding reviews and ratings. My personal experience is that I’m overjoyed to have found them. Courtesy unmatched, service above and beyond, very conservative when working through best options. I’m happy!!!
