I wanted to try a local optometry place to support local small businesses, but the customer service experience was awful, with the exception of the optometrist herself. The optometrist was really nice and helpful. She answered all my questions and was thorough. Everything following that was downhill. I stayed extra time to try and look for frames for purchasing my new glasses and only found out that they validate one hour when i asked for a validation. Every hour after that is $4. They declined to cover time spent past the 1st hour even after i spent loads of money getting a prescription for my contacts AND glasses. I decided to overlook their pettiness and came back to purchase glasses and found out that due to my higher prescription i had to pay like $25 extra, but to make the len

I just had the best, most efficient and informative optometry appointment that I've ever had. Dr Au is friendly, brilliant, and quick as a whip. The whole staff pulls off caring professionalism with grace, and they made me feel welcome and comfortable the entire time I was in the office. Everyone answered all my silly questions with patience and confidence, and I just can not say enough good things. I also learned a handful of very helpful things about my eyes and how to properly care for them that no one ever told me before. They really left a great impression and I am going to recommend them to everyone I know!

Dr Seulyn Au was terrific. She explained everything in a clear and easy to understand manner. She examined my eyes and gave a simple honest assessment. I never felt rushed like she was trying to see another patient . With in 10 minutes of arrival I was taken to have my eyes checked. Great service and quick too

The doctors in this office are horrible human beings who are only interested in scamming as much money out of their patients as possible, and once they realize you have no money left to give, they tell you to get lost. I went to them again with an emergency—I was literally walking around blind— but was told I would need to pay them $300 out of pocket for a new eye exam in addition to several hundred dollars for new contact lenses. They did not care AT ALL, even when I literally begged in tears for help—I had the money for the lenses but not the exam. $300 was more important to them than their patient’s well-being—if that doesn’t tell you everything you need to know about these jerks, then I don’t know what will.

Unfortunately, I must retract my rating and post ZERO stars. The staff told my wife what time they would be in the office for her to pick up her glasses. When she showed up in the time specified by the staff, with the nose ring, the office was closed. So my wife waited and waited. Despite the major inconvenience for a busy nurse, all good until the doctors staff would not validate her parking, even though it was their fault for taking off earlier than the lunch hour that was told to my wife. This is not about money, about the principle of what you tell someone. I have been with Dr. Lau since AlaMoana ,but neither me or my wife will return without an apology. My name is Sunny Stevens.
