Dr.Fouad Aoude ,MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Aoude for years and I think he is a wonderful doctor who cares about people and always returns a call. However his receptionist is extremely unprofessional and very rude, she has hung up on me and their is no need for that. I have complained but, she is still employed there. Nothing worse when you're sick and treated so poorly by this woman. I no longer go there and my new doctors office is very kind and professional. Very sorry Doctor Aoude !!!!

I contacted the clinic to schedule an appointment. The doctor has been my primary care physician for four years, so this was not a first-time contact or a new patient situation. However, I was treated extremely poorly by the receptionist. On three separate attempts to speak, she hung up the phone on me, rudely stating that she could not talk, could not provide any explanations, and that I was “not a patient of the clinic,” in addition to saying they were not accepting new patients, without even allowing me to explain the situation or finish a sentence. The service was disrespectful, rude, and completely inconsistent with the minimum level of professionalism expected in a healthcare setting. The way I was treated was embarrassing and frustrating. I generally don't want to make subjective, negative evaluations, but the operator at this clinic disappointed me. She rudely interrupted me before I even finished asking my question. It was awful. Why would anyone act like that?

This isn’t a one star for the doctor. I’m sure he’s fine. But it’s a one star because of whoever answered the phone. When I signed up for Tufts Health Together, I was assigned this doctor as my primary care. I called today for an urgent issue and the lady who answered the phone interrupted me to rudely tell me they were no longer accepting masshealth patients and their masshealth “panel” is closed. I don’t know if it’s the stigma around masshealth or what, but I was treated so poorly on the phone that I can’t imagine ever going here. I have no idea why they assigned me this doctor if they aren’t accepting new patients.

Dr aoude himself is great. Wonderful doctor, and his nurse is also very nice. However, the administrative assistants that answer the phones are horrible. They are not helpful in the least, dismissive, rude, unattentive. Being talked to on the phone as if your medical problem is an inconvenience, by your doctor's office, is kind of ridiculous.
