I have been a patient of Dr Bohnings ever since a gastritis attack found me in the emergency room a couple of years ago. Have been through the gamut of tests to determine the cause of my issue and everything was always done so professionally and with full explanation. You cannot find a more thorough, knowledgeable, caring and compassionate doctor than Dr Bohning. He worked with me listening attentively to my concerns and my symptoms and took the time to research my rare immune system issue. I would highly recommend Dr Bohning and am fortunate that he has become my gastrointestinal Dr.

Had an excellent experience with Dr. Protano and would highly recommend seeing her for care. She has excellent bedside manner and is incredibly thorough. I really appreciated the time she took to walk me through the results of my procedure after the fact and never felt rushed. I been a patient for a few years in this office. This morning I called first thing since I’m suspecting a diverticulitis flare up which is very painful. I stayed home from work hoping to be seen and was told the office does NOT do same day or SICK appointments but they could schedule me for a different time….. they offered me an appointment in February!!!! I am sick today and probably need antibiotics and they won’t see me not even a physician assistant. This is the worst office I’ve ever experienced. I, myself work in a doctors office and we are not allowed to turn away a sick patient. I will never go back there. Had a colonoscopy on Sept. 30, 2025. Procedure went smoothly no problems. Staff and Doctor were pleasant, helpful and professional. All showed an interest in doing their job and doing it right. They give you a date for the procedure but no arrival time until the day before. The preparation instructions you have to adhere to before the procedure over a 7 day period, are lengthy.
