Doverwood Skilled Nursing Facility

My great aunt went to Doverwood Skilled Care in Hamilton for rehab after her hip replacement and the experience could not have been better. The facility was always clean and welcoming and the nursing staff were some of the most attentive and compassionate people I have ever met. They made her feel comfortable and cared for and really treated her like family. The therapists were great too, they encouraged her and pushed her in the right ways and helped her regain her strength and confidence much faster than we expected. The meals were also really good, tasty and balanced and something she actually looked forward to every day. From start to finish Dover Woods gave her such a positive environment and her recovery was fantastic because of it. I highly recommend this place.

Physical therapy staff on a scale of 1-10 is a 20!! Very empathetic and understanding therapists. The nurses are very good, as are the aids. However, the timing on the medications could be better. Otherwise, out of a 10, I give them 9.9.

My mom was at Doverwood for a few weeks before moving to assisted living. Angela, who is a physical therapist at Doverwood is amazing. I felt like she truly looked out for my mom, and even made sure to introduce her to another patient from the same assisted living facility so my mom would have a familiar face shen she got there. Angela, if you see this, I am truly grateful for you!

I have spent many hours in the Rehab 1 & 2, and longterm care units. The staff is always friendly and responsive. They go out of their way to support others and create a positive environment for both the patients and those visiting. It’s clear that they care about the residents and work well together as a team. I’ve always had great experiences here and truly appreciate their professionalism and warmth.

The Christmas decorations are amazing. All of the units are decked out for the holidays. It is fun bringing the whole family out to visit grandma!! All of the staff from therapy, housekeeping, nursing, & the kitchen have been a blessing to my family.
