I had neck and spine surgery at Steadman Hawkins in Vail because I lived there!! He was the rudest person I’ve ever encountered!! He said if they did surg why are you HERE? Because I did not want to drive 3 hours and it was 5 years ago. I was told that my neck was so bad if I fell I could be paralyzed so they fixed 3 floating disc but could not fix the rest or I couldn’t move my neck. I was told my entire neck/ back had degenerative disc disease. He looked at my MRI and told me there was nothing wrong. He was such a prick!!! Rude the entire time I was there!

My husband had a fusion done less than 2 weeks ago. I'm amazed at how well he's doing already. Dr. Beard was great. He answered all our questions throughout the whole process, made us feel comfortable and never made us feel rushed or like just another number. I highly recommend him if you're in need. Very positive experience.

Dr. Beard was my orthopedic surgeon while I served in the Army. He did operate on my right knee at Lemoore NAS. I came out of the surgery in superb condition (comparing it to previous surgery on my left knee by another physician). I experienced little pain compared to prior surgery and was up and about in very short order. Prior to, and after surgery, I felt Dr. Beard was a very attentive physician, listening to what I had to say, listening for what I was experiencing with the knee, and developing a surgical and recovery plan for me. I was very comfortable with Dr.Beard as a physician, his skill as a surgeon, and patient oriented for my best concerns. I experienced chronic lower back pain since i was 21. I am now almost 30. I went through as much alternative treatment as one could possibly due such as Dr visits with 5-6 different nuerosurgeons, approx 12 steroid injections, a medial branch block injection, everyday usage of narcotic pain killers, muscle relaxers and anti inflamtory medicine, 2 Epsom salt baths a day, 2 rounds of physical therapy at 2 different locations, 2 different chiropractors, I used my own tens unit atleast 4-5x a week, 2x a day, I tried Cryotherapy several times and i iced my back atleast 3x a day for 20-30mins.
