Donnellson Health Center, A Pearl Valley Community

Donnellson Health Center is in a small farming community, and provides very human hands on care for seniors as well as mentally challenged individuals in a small caring environment that is condusive to one on one care. Not a fancy place, but a very accessible place for families and the people they care for. Staff and activity director do excellent work. A well run community oriented company.

I was placed here from Iowa city hospital and clinics because I had bad stage 4 pressure ulcers . I can’t even begin to explain the problems here . I missed a court date because I was hospitalized so I had warrant issued for my arrest . When I arrived at registration I told the woman that runs that facility my situation and that I would need to drive my own car to take care of it eventually because when you register as a resident you have to relinquish your car keys because we can’t have residents just coming and going as they please .so I said ok . Four days into my stay and being 31 years old and 3 kids I need to be able to leave. the woman’s relentlessness to take my freedoms saying “it’s facility policy “ I decided I’d go to another facility. So she then turned me in on the warrant ,ke
