Donalsonville Hospital

I am so thankful for this hospital. From the aids, to the doctors I received nothing less than the most impeccable and compassionate care. The staff is very attentive and seeks to accommodate even the smallest need. This is my place of care by choice.

I currently have a loved one in this facility and will be removing her and making several reports with the State of Georgia as soon as possible. She has been there over 72 hours and has not been able to bathe due to only cold water in the facility. She has had her clothes & personal hygiene items denied for over 48 hours, although I went and bought appropriate clothing per the facility criteria and gave permission for them to be modified if necessary (string cut off, etc...). My mother asked repeatedly for them (6-8 times) because she knew I had taken them - she was simply ignored as though the staff did not hear her speaking to them. I understand this type of facility can be exhausting to staff, but most of them seem to have such a general bad attitude and do not acknowledge another hum

I have been to a few mental health facilities but this one was by far the worst. The techs were nice but the doctor only would see you for a couple of minutes and didn't listen plus half his visits were on a video call. The television was on murder mysteries the whole time and there was always people yelling at each other. I woke up one night and my roommate was maturating. That is not a good environment for a mental health facility. I'm in a wheelchair and one nurse would make me squeeze through the doorway cause she didn't want to move.

One of my loved ones was here in the geriatric ward, and it was not sanitary at all. There was a lack of activities, the doctor barely saw her, and the overall care she received made her feel worse than when she went in. Please do not send your elderly loved ones to their geriatric ward. This place genuinely needs to be shut down.

They are rude to the kids that are in the psychiatric ward. They would push and hit them. I know this for a fact bc my daughter was there its just a horrible place. Ive been trying to make a complaint but nobody will take my call. Just thought I would let people know the truth about this place.
