Donaldson Animal Hospital

Just went today for my dog Brenna. They squeezed me in and have been absolutely fantastic. I am so grateful. Highly recommend them.

Dr. Alley has been my dog, Roxy’s, vet for 15+ years. Last year she got extremely sick and we couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her. Dr. Alley has went above and beyond to help my dog (and I) figure out what the issue was. Diane, who works at the front desk, is also amazing. She is always so helpful in fitting us in and finding the best cost for the many medications that my dog needs. Donaldson Animal Hospital has always been there when we have emergencies and I am so grateful to this facility and their workers for being so helpful and caring to my fur baby.

The vets are great, but the front desk and support staff are terrible, rude, and do not care about you or your pet. Our family dog took a turn for the worst over the weekend and when we called Monday morning at 9am about an appointment to put him to rest the person who answered the phone was rude and said they were booked solid for the day. When we asked what we should do she was annoyed and said she didn't know and couldn't help since they were booked solid. We have been going there for 25 years for all of our dogs, but never again. This is not how to treat an animal and family during their end of life. Very disappointed and upset.

Awful experience this past year with the women answering the phones. First I called about my 4 year old dog not being able to walk, and they said they couldn’t fit him in. I had been going there for 4 years at that point so I went to Avets. 2 weeks later I called again about my dog turning jaundice after his Lymes diagnosis and her answer was “is he still moving around”…he died 8 hours later at Avets. The women in the front think they are vets and they are far from knowledgeable. Will never be returning and would not recommend strictly based upon the people answering the phones.

Their website says that they're open all these times. And I took my cat who was stressed out already because of being in the cage and leaving the house and I went there but when I got there it was completely locked up even though on the website and on their door it's supposed to be open but then they have a sign that says appointments only. Don't you think you should change the website and the sign in your window if you're not going to be open them times? Because that's extremely stressful to people and very unfair and unnecessary!
