Yes he is a very good doctor. But 3 1/2 hours just to get screened for a colonoscopy is not right. Dr. Mansell is a great doctor and a very kind and caring man. But an "emergency" does not happen everyday. After the first few times it is not an emergency but the norm and should be dealt with accordingly. If every time you are scheduled to see him you have to wait because of an emergency (3 times for me) it is no longer an emergency but just how it is. I doubt the hospital administrators would sit in a waiting room for 3 1/2 hours for any reason. Why should we?

Dr. Mansell is a very kind, caring, smart doctor. His office people, nurses, P.A.s and so on are just as nice as he is. Because he cares he has been known to spend over an hour on the phone working for his patient who needed a certain medicine in an attempt to get her that medicine in some form or brand that the insurance company would approve. We all had to wait. Not too many doctors out there care enough to do that. As others have noted: You can call ahead of your appointment to find out how long the wait will be and they will call you when the time you will be seen is about 15 minutes away. Or you can knit, crochet, play solitaire on your phone, make new friends, watch TV or go pay a bill! It is worth it to have such good care.

Office staff is rude, my appointment was rescheduled still waited over an hour had to leave without even seeing the doctor they made a flippant comment as I was leaving, I don't know that I'd ever go back to see Dr. Mansell no matter how good of a doctor he's supposed to be
