I recently had Bunion surgery (Keller procedure). Dr. Shumway and I had talked about the pro and cons for months before I decided to go ahead with the surgery. He also gave me several options I could chose from. I so appreciated his concern and response to any questions I had during the recovery period. I highly recommend Dr. Shumway as he is truly an outstanding professional and explained several times exactly what the surgery would entail. I am 6 weeks post op and the results were all I had hoped for. I would not hesitate to take all my foot needs to him. Thanks so much Dr. Shumway.

I chose this office for a second opinion after I broke my foot just before Christmas. Both times I called, they got me in the same day. The first office I went to insisted my bone was not healing after only two weeks and told me I required surgery for my injury, which was less than 1 mm in gap and still aligned. Dr. Shumway helped me around his office while he took X-rays. He told me not to let anyone touch my foot and it would heal on its own in a few more weeks of conservative rest. Six weeks post injury, he gave me the clear that it was healing just fine without intervention. This doctor is kind, honest, and makes you feel like you’re making an informed decision on your care. Dr Shumway is by far the most caring, compassionate, thorough Doctor we've ever met. He called my husband DAILY after each leg & foot surgery. He went out if his way to accommodate our schedule for surgery & follow up appts. I so highly recommend him. My husband is so happy with the results of his decompression surgeries. Plus, a big toe joint replacement!

I've been dealing with severe heel pain due to plantar fasciitis for 4 months. I've tried ice, elevating it, stretching, arch supports, and still could not stand or walk for any period of time. I broke down and decided to go see Dr Shumway and he did a cortisone injection, wrapped it and taught me some better stretches and today, it is 1000% better. I'm so glad I found him. 😊

My husband had Dr Shumway do nerve decompression on his legs it took about a week to start seeing improvement. He is walking better balance has improved and his back seems better we think because he walks different, We are looking forward to his improvement of leg & foot pain and balance. We had great care at the hospital and with Dr Don.
