I asked for non flavored antibiotics that I’d gotten several times before and it was stated on papers from the er. I called before I went to make sure we didn’t get flavored antibiotics for a child that spits them out no matter what and what did I get, bubblegum flavored antibiotics. It shouldn’t matter what insurance we have, we should be served the same as anyone else, especially in the case of a young child with a severe infection. A phone call could have been made to the hospital like the er staff told me to change the antibiotic to whatever would be best for my child, but when I suggested that I was told that the same provider wouldn’t be working today.
