Dr. Nguyen is great, but this place is not child-friendly or accommodating of disability or sensory needs so be cautious about taking your kiddo there. They do not have a child-safe area in the waiting room and staff are not trained in how to treat families or kids with sensory needs and disabilities, despite that they treat this population. I was basically asked to restrain my daughter, which would have made her explode and ruined her medical appointment we had driven an hour to access. My disabled toddler who is a patient there is very sensory seeking and wanted to peak behind the desks. “Ma’am, she can’t come back here. Ma’am we have already told you, she can’t come back here.” I kept saying “I’m doing my best, I’m doing my best.” After a kid with sensory needs spends an hour in the car

I used the optical department only. I want to compliment Andy who was caring, knowledgeable and professional throughout my struggle to find comfortable glasses. He made numerous patient attempts to make the nose pads work, but ultimately they were not for me. After Andy's discussion with Marlon, who was also very helpful and knowledgeable during numerous phone calls with me, I exchanged the glasses for a more comfortable pair at no charge other than a few dollars more for the more expensive new glasses. I couldn't be happier. Staff in the reception area could display a little more professionalism, however, my interactions with them were very limited.

Dr Taketa is just so lovely-- such an experienced, calm, and knowlegable doctor. I felt so confident in him diagnosing my daughter and the whole process was quick and painless, but extremely thorough. The staff was kind from beginning to end and great with children. The office is SPOTLESS & modern. I love Andy with the optical shop he was so friendly and so gentle with setting my daughter up with new first pair of prescription glasses. She was so happy and proud walking out. Parking is street parking, not the best, but that is probably the norm in this area and its in a great, quite safe, walkable area, so no harm in getting some steps in. overall a 5 star business and 5 star experience!!! so glad VSP led me here!!

Not a trustworthy doctor + office First time patient seeing Dr. Taketa on a Saturday for an eye exam. Taketa rushed through the appointment, failing to address dry eye concerns, failing to diagnose a well-known and long term astigmatism I have had, and most offensively, failed to give me (the patient) a copy of my incorrect eyeglass and contact prescriptions. Doctor and office would not respond to any concerns on phone nor in-person in their offices. DO NOT VISIT. STRONGLY AVOID

Dr. Silver has been fantastic with all my family members, mother, brothers, nieces, nephews and husband. Always assessing care with state of the art equipment and expertise in a direct and personable manner. We are thankful to have connected with Dr. Silver about 40 years ago!
